Tells the story of a town deep in the Florida Everglades, the building of the Tamiami Trail and area's characters, pioneers and plume hunters. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Donations welcome.

Directions: From U.S. 41: Travel south on S.R. 29. 3 mi. into Everglades city center. The Museum is the pink building, past the traffic circle on left hand side across from the tennis courts.

Hours: Tues. - Fri. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Dates Closed: National and County holidays

General Information: Open Year-Round, Free admission
